Care labels
Care labels are regulated under the Federal Trade Commission. This kind of label is used to telling consumer some care instructions related to maintenance like drying, bleaching, washing or ironing etc. The mandatory standard for care labelling was initially introduced on 1 March 1980. It was then amended in 1 January 2004 and reviewed in 2009. The latest revision of the mandatory came into effect on 1 September 2010. It covers requirements for care labelling for clothing and textiles.
When consumer purchase garments, they have to calculate the care requirements like required dry cleaning add how much price to consumer so that for comparing with those materials which can be easy washed. Hence those information are very necessary to consumers.
