Digital Textile Printing: Turn YOUR Photos Into Clothing
When I was growing up it was all about the RIT and making tie-die t-shirts in the backyard with the kids on the block. The ink splashed around in buckets as we dipped our white t-shirts adorned with carefully placed rubber bands to keep the colors in the places we wanted them. That was the closest I ever came to being a fashion designer.
Enter Digital Textile Printing – which isn’t new, but the DIY version of it seems to be. It’s a pretty cool concept, and I like the crowdsourcing aspect of it too. That just might bring a little bit of the collective backyard tie-dye experience into the Digital Age of Fashion.
