Strine Printing Creates a New Retail Solutions Division

YORK, PA—April 25, 2012—Strine Printing, one of the top independent printers in the United States, announced it has launched a new division named Strine Retail Solutions. The newly formed group will focus on delivering in-store signage, shopper marketing materials, and point-of-purchase (POP) display solutions to top retailers and brand clients. ”We are building on the solid reputation that Strine Printing has established over the last 65 years,” said CEO Michael Strine Sr.. “Strine has always been a leading provider of sophisticated commercial printing and award-winning folding cartons. The significant investments we have made over the past decade in large format offset and digital printing, finishing, kitting and fulfillment capabilities positioned us as a top contender in the POP signage industry.”

Strine has been providing in-store displays and signage to brands and retailers for some time. According to Bill Kirk, president of Strine Printing, “We already produce all of the in-store signage, with kitting and fulfillment, for some very demanding partners, including the largest mass merchandisers and chain drug retailers in the US. Strine Retail Solutions will take all of these proven skills and package them to the brand marketing community.” It is Strine Retail Solution’s unmatched ability to combine significant printing capacity with a nimble, consultative approach that makes them a perfect partner for marketers looking for improved retail execution and cost efficiencies.

“Unlike most printers,” continued Kirk, “we are able to offer truly unique solutions, including the benefit of a one-stop-shop experience. Many retailers get their POP elements from different manufacturers, which often leads to mismatched colors, incremental shipping charges, and untimely delivery. With Strine Retail Solutions, everything arrives on time, looking great, and within budget.” Strine has brought in retail marketing veteran Scott Carter to lead the initiative. Carter, who will serve as executive vice president of sales and marketing, has spent more than 20 years helping brands reach their target customers at retail. His past experience includes significant Shopper Marketing successes for leading global brands, involving POP displays, digital signage, and in-store events. Most recently, he managed the U.S. operations of Marin’s International, a global POP company, known for their innovative Lamà automatic displays. The company has chosen to locate Strine Retail Solutions in Connecticut, to be in the center of the brand-marketing corridor running from New York to Boston. Strine’s printing operations remain in York, PA, where they employ over 400 dedicated workers.
