Many flexographic experts thinks digital time will come in future, mostly because digital printer brings more benefit of converters' end users and customers.
Flexo was synonymous with 3% dot with hard break and heavy dot, and now it can hold 0.5% dots when use hybrid screening technology. For example, HD flexo from Esko can smoothly image breaks with improving print quality. And the process will be more automatic and streamlined via increasingly digital in the future.
In recent years the most significant change is data files for many applications being stored on remote servers and shared throughout the company. And prepress technology will be in the clouds in future.
